Royal palace located on a rock between the Eresma and Clamores rivers. It was one of the favorite residences of the Kings of Castile, such as Alfonso X el Sabio and Enrique IV.
Isabella the Catholic left from here to be crowned queen in the main square. It is documented for the first time in 1122 and was rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1862. Today it houses the General Military archive of Segovia and the museum of the Royal Artillery College.
